The Department of English and Cultural Studies is organizing a Workshop on Text Mining on March 28, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Room 2111, Management Block.
This workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of text mining, including data extraction, processing, and analysis. It will cover essential tools and techniques for pattern recognition, sentiment analysis, and topic modeling in large textual datasets. Through hands-on exercises, students will gain practical experience in applying computational methods to literary and cultural studies which they will be able to utilize in their ongoing studies as well as any future academic pursuits.
The session will also highlight the significance of digital text analysis in humanities research, helping participants understand how to effectively use these techniques to interpret textual data.
